According to the research group “Sports Management Degree Guide,” which obtains its data from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), ECU ranks second nationally on the most affordable online master’s program list. The NCES collects its data from official accrediting agency websites, as the research group explains in its methodology.

“ECU offers a top-quality education, along with affordability,” said Dr. Katricia Pierson, ECU president. “Graduates from our online Sports Administration master’s program are employed in a variety of fields, including as coaches, athletic directors and support staff, and sports finance. I’m pleased that ECU has been recognized for this outstanding online degree program.”

According to the research group that created the list, colleges and universities considered for affordability rankings are regionally or nationally accredited and offer at least one fully online sports management degree option.

“Our Sports Administration faculty have done an outstanding job in creating the curriculum for a program that meets a specialized need in today’s market,” said Dr. Phyllis Isaacs, dean of ECU’s College of Education and Psychology. “This national recognition confirms the continuous feedback we receive regarding the excellence and affordability of our program.”
