East Central University student Corey Burton (second from right) recently took ninth place on the Excel 2016 Exam at the Certiport 2018 Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) United States National Championships in Atlanta, Georgia. Burton qualified for the national competition by virtue of an exceptionally high score on his Excel 2016 Exam and was declared Oklahoma’s champion earlier this year. Burton, from Mounds, Oklahoma and a Beggs High School graduate, is a double major in business administration management (with banking and finance certification) and instrumental music performance. Pictured with Burton from left are: Nancy Jerdee, vice president of marketing for Pearson VUE; Aaron Osmond, general manager for Certiport and at the far right is Selina Winter, senior business program manager for Microsoft certification for Microsoft.
