ADA – Jim Stovall, entrepreneur, author, humanitarian and nationally-recognized motivational speaker, will share his story in “Yes, You Can!” on Thursday, Feb. 13, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the ECU Foundation Hall inside the Chickasaw Business and Conference Center at East Central University.

Stovall will present an amazing personal and professional story for all ages. The event is free to all and sponsored by Harland and Shirley Stonecipher in association with the ECU Stonecipher School of Business.

Stovall offers a vision of what can be achieved by those who say “yes” in the face of challenge and adversity.

Blind from a young age, Stovall will share the story of how he became an Olympic weightlifting champion, an author of bestselling books - The Ultimate Gift and Millionaire Map - and president and co-founder of the Emmy Award winning Narrative Television Network.

He was recognized as 1997 National Entrepreneur of the Year by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and received the National Enterprise Award by the U.S. Jaycees. Stovall has also been named International Humanitarian of the Year and has been featured numerous times in national print and broadcast news media.

Steve Forbes, CEO of Forbes Magazine, has called Stovall, “one of the most extraordinary men of our era.”
