ADA – East Central University’s online Human Services program has been recognized as one of the most affordable in the nation.

According to online research group the Education Reference Desk – which draws its numbers from the National Center for Education Statistics – ECU ranks second on the most affordable list.

“We have quality along with affordability,” said Dr. Katricia Pierson, ECU president. “Our graduates from the Human Services program are employed in a wide range of fields, including substance abuse counseling, family support, and social and rehabilitation services. I’m pleased that we have been recognized for our online Human Services degree program.”

According to the Utah-based research group, the colleges and universities considered for these rankings are regionally or nationally accredited, offer at least one fully online human services degree, and were collected from official accrediting agency websites.

“I am very impressed with the commitment of the faculty in this program to our students,” said Kate Lang, dean of ECU’s College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, which oversees the online Human Services program. “It has been exciting to see the creativity that our faculty bring to designing these online courses.”
