“Rockin Roary” is the theme as East Central University celebrates its 2018 Homecoming with various activities on Friday-Saturday, Oct. 26-27.

The ECU Alumni Association Homecoming Golf Tournament will be held at the Oak Hills Golf and Country Club on Friday, Oct. 26, with lunch at 11:30 a.m. followed by the first tee off for golf at 1 p.m. Golfers can register as individuals for $125 or $500 as a four-person team.

Individual hole sponsorships are available as well as various level of event sponsorships, ranging from $100-$5,000. On Saturday, Oct. 27, the ECU African-American Alumni Breakfast will be held at 8:30 a.m. in the Taft Cafeteria on ECU’s campus. For more information or to attend contact Timmy Young at timmy.young@sbcglobal.net.

At 10 a.m., the Annual Golden Tiger Brunch, for those who attended or graduated from ECU 50 or more years ago, will take place in ECU Foundation Hall of the Chickasaw Business and Conference Center. The Athletic Alumni Meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m. in the Synergistic Room of the Chickasaw Business and Conference Center. For more information on this meeting contact Dr. Jeff Williams at jwilliams@ecok.edu.

At noon, the Homecoming Parade will take place on Ada’s Main Street. There is no cost for entering the parade. The entry deadline is Tuesday, Oct. 16. No day of parade entries will be accepted. Several activities take place at 2 p.m. with a Basketball Alumni Reunion and pregame tailgating with live music from Conflict of Interest in Alumni Alley, located on the lawn at the north of Koi Ishto Stadium. The homecoming football game kicks at 4 p.m. as the Tigers take on Harding University on Norris Field in Koi Ishto Stadium.

Following the game, a Big Band Bash will be held in the Chalmers Theatre of the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center at 8 p.m. Performing will be Doug Larimore and the Moonlighters. Tickets can be purchased online by going to www.ecok.edu/bigbandbash. One registrant can buy two tickets for $50 or one registrant can buy just one ticket for $35.
