ADA, Okla. – The Art of Duo comes to East Central University with performances by John Daversa and Tal Cohen on April 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Ataloa Theatre, located inside the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center.

“I grew up in Ada, so this is a very special concert for me,” said Daversa, a two-time Grammy winner, as he prepares to return to Ada alongside fellow Grammy winner, Tal Cohen.

The two musicians bring The Art of Duo to Ada.

According to Downbeat Magazine, “The Art of Duo clearly enjoys an organic simpatico that revolves around a sense of music as free, interactive play. They hold nothing back and go with their hearts”.

“My roots are here,” said Daversa. “I grew up on 17th street, just around the corner from ECU! I learned how to be a musician in Ada School Bands and Choirs, and it is truly a joy to now return and work with the ECU students and perform my music here in my home town.

Tickets to the event are $25 for general admission, $15 for senior patrons as well as high school age and below.

ECU students and faculty will receive free admission with their ECU ID.

Tickets will be available for purchase at the door, or online at ecok.edu/hbffac-box-office
